The Fluid Architect
Bamboo
What is Bamboo?
Bamboo is a cellulose fiber made from the pulp of bamboo plants. In our archive, we often blend it with cotton to create a fabric that has a liquid-like drape and a silk-equivalent hand-feel.
The Problem
While bamboo grows rapidly, the chemical process used to turn it into fabric (viscose) can be harmful if managed poorly, with chemicals often leaked into local waterways..
The Solution
We use Bamboo as a high-performance, botanical alternative. Bamboo is a self-regenerating grass that requires no irrigation and 3x less land than cotton to produce the same yield. Our Bamboo is blended with indigenous Kala Cotton to create a balanced textile that is as ethical as it is soft.
The Benefits
- Hyper-Softness: It offers a cooling, silk-like texture that is ideal for sensitive skin.
- Moisture Management: Bamboo absorbs 40% more water than even organic cotton, making it the perfect fiber for humid climates.
- Space Efficient: Bamboo grows 3x faster than most trees and requires no irrigation, making it a highly efficient use of land.
The Future
Our focus is on moving toward 100% Lyocell-process bamboo, which represents the highest tier of chemical transparency and environmental safety in the cellulose industry
